Back In The Saddle...
Well after a rocky past few weeks I am going to try to get back to blogging on a regular basis.
Let me recap the past few weeks.
Hurricane Rita came through and put a limb through the roof in my living room and took our power for 5 days. We lost everything in the freezer and fridge..we also had record high temperatures without power for cooling...that really sucked.
Just when things were starting to get back to normal I got an abcess on my right front tooth that ended up going into the jaw bone. The dentist had to do oral surgery to remove part of the infected bone and replace it with new artificial bone material. That was last wednesday. I still have stitches in my mouth that will not come out intil Thursday. I have been on antibiotics, steroids, and lortabs for nearly two weeks now. ( I stopped taking the lortab yesterday and I think I am having withdrawals) The steroids have packed an extra 15 pounds on my already large ass. (bummer) So now goes the joyous task of getting back on the treadmill to sweat off those 15 pounds and then some. I am going to wait until I have the stitches out at least and feel a little better.
So that is the past few weeks in a nutshell.
Coming up this weekend my brother Pat and Molly are coming to visit. (Hooray) (I have to remember to go and buy beer and stuff to make jello shots!) It should be a great weekend unless my sister goes into labor and I have to go and attend a birth. (she is doing a home birth at her apartment...more likely than not in her bathtub..)
I gotta go and get some housework done and try to get off my butt today.
